SAP needs no introduction, SAP is the largest provider for ERP based software. Per market predictions the SAP based jobs are going to grow exponentially and the demand for SAP professionals will outpace the supply. For new professionals trying to get into SAP, there are a number of entry points. For the technical folks the shift of SAP from core technologies to Java based Netweaver platforms has opened a vast number of entry points. For the SAP experienced folks it is imperative to learn the technology paradigm shift in netweaver. SAP ERP is shifting from a transactional system to a strategic system that leverages that transactional data for strategic purposes. And we continue to believe that the Internet will be a driving force, providing a means for companies to "extend" their enterprise and let partners and customers access their data without the need for complex integration effort. We believe the mantra is “continuous quality learning”. If you are coming from a mainframe background or database back ground SAP BW is a good starting point. If you are coming from a Java/.Net back ground with exposure to web services, SAP XI or SAP Portal is a good starting point. For candidates who intend to build career in a functional background, SAP FICO/SAP HR are good starting points.
